Restylane Dermal Fillers

Restylane Dermafiller is a remarkable treatment option to reduce deep wrinkles immediately, dramatically, and with long-lasting results. This FDA approved option is being utilized by physicians around the country for patients who desire to reduce deep wrinkles around their mouth, nose and chin that are too deep to adequately respond to other treatment options. Restylane is a dermal filler used to reduce and treat deep wrinkles and lines, shape facial contour, and add volume to lips. Results can be seen immediately after treatment and the effects are long lasting. Treatments can last from 6 months to 1 year, depending on how fast your body will break down the Restylane. One of the advantages of Restylane is its ability to produce results immediately, and the procedure can be done in a gradual manner to assure your desired results.

Why Choose Restylane?
Over time skin begins to lose volume and structure from the gradual loss of collagen complexity. That's when fine lines and wrinkles start to appear. Restylane, which is FDA approved, can offer you a natural beauty lift by using your body’s own material. It is a crystal-
clear, biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid gel, which is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous, producing a long-lasting, natural enhancement that is gentle and safe to the skin. When satisfied with your initial reatment, you may choose to follow up whenever you wish. The non-permanence may initially seem like a disadvantage but it is important to point out the possible side effects of a permanent treatment. With permanent dermal fillers, as you age, the filler will not, which can lead to abnormal facial contours that may require repair, or even surgical correction. With Restylane, you are always in charge of your look, reapplying treatments to any of the aging signs you prefer to focus on, yet allowing your face to change as needed.

Often compared to collagen injections, Restylane is not an animal product so a skin test is not required. Also, the effects of Restylane last 3-4 times longer than collagen.

How long will the treatment take?
Treatments may take from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the correction you wish to have performed.

Which facial areas respond best to treatment?
Fillers work exceptionally well on wrinkles around the mouth, nose, and lips. Restylane is best used on areas with deep wrinkles that will not resolve with other treatment options, like vertical lip lines or deep cheek fold lines (also known as nasolabial). Restylane can also be applied to create fuller lips or just improve that downward angle at the corners of the lips. Restylane is also used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures to obtain an overall enhancement.

How are treatments performed?
Restylane is an in-office procedure. A numbing medication will be initially used to minimize any discomfort. During the treatment, a tiny needle is used to inject the Restylane into the skin.

What can I expect after the treatment?
Following the treatment, you are expected to follow post-treatment instructions that will help minimize bruising and swelling.  While some mild swelling and some slight bruising at the treatment site may occur, the swelling usually last for a few hours to a few days and can be minimized with ice packs.  If bruising occurs, it can remain for 2-3 days which can generally be covered with make-up.  Results can only be evaluated after the swelling has subsided.  The Restylane injectables may last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
